Are you looking for a new beginning? Do you want some help on your healing journey so you can grow as a person? Or maybe you’re looking to have a spiritual awakening? If so, Botswana Agate is the perfect stone for you!
Botswana Agate connects the most with the crown and the third eye chakras. The crown chakra goes by the name Sahasrara which is the seventh chakra that is seen as a purple or violet light. Its purpose is to enlighten and deepen your spiritual connections, transform, and connect you to the divine. Then, the third eye chakra is called the Ajna which is the sixth chakra and is seen as a deep indigo light which is known for its perception and awareness.
Scorpio is the zodiac sign that’s most commonly associated with this Agate. This is the eighth astrological sign and is represented by a scorpion which can be seen through its ambition, strength, and determination.
Botswana Agate is a very Earth centered stone, so of course its associated element and planet would be Earth. This again, can be seen through the stones strong grounding properties. However, this stone is also associated with the planet Neptune which connects with dreams, the subconscious, and fantasies.
The crystals that pair well with Botswana Agates are Citrines, Amethysts, and Carnelians. Citrine revitalizes the mind with positivity and helps your mind focus. Amethyst is another great choice because it is known for its calming and anti-anxiety energies, which blends well with the Agates' calming vibes. Finally, Carnelian is also a great choice because of its warmth and how it inspires positivity and creativity.
This type of Agate tends to have gray and white tones with an opaque or translucent color. This can vary depending on the impurities of the stone. The more impure the stone, the less translucent it gets.
Agate generally has a Mohs Hardness Score of 7. This makes Botswana Agate a relatively durable stone and an excellent choice for jewelry. The chemical formula for Agate is SiO2. Another name for this is silicon dioxide. It is also a chalcedony, which is a cryptocrystalline silica. Oftentimes this crystal type has quartz and morganite inclusions scattered throughout. This Agate also belongs to the trigonal crystal system.
Botswana Agate is a bit rarer than its other Agate counterparts, being that this type is only found in Africa!
