Vision Boards

Are you a creative person? Or is journaling just not your thing? If that's the case, we completely understand, but might have the solution for you! Vision boards are a creative tool that people use in order to motivate themselves towards their goals. In a way, creating a vision board is very similar to scrapbooking, oftentimes it just takes a larger form. This is because vision boards are often meant to sit out in areas where they can be seen constantly. Some places that would be fitting for sitting one are on a counter, desk, or altar. You could also hang it on a wall if that is more convenient for you and your lifestyle. It would also be a good idea to have it in the room that you spend the majority of your time in, so it can inspire you often.

Vision boards are a great way to gain clarity on the goals and desires that you truly want to pursue. Once you know what you want to do, it makes it a lot easier to actually focus on that goal. Similarly, it helps you to decide on which of your goals are aligned most with your best interest and so you can prioritize your goals based on those factors.

Another amazing benefit of vision boards is that it uses manifestation. This is a good thing because it uses the law of attraction to make it more likely that you will actually achieve your goals.

Vision boards also add high vibrational energies into your space because of the positive emotions that are associated with the board and its intentions. When you look at your board you should be excited and determined to pave the way towards your desired reality.

Now, before we move onto how to create a vision board, it's important to remember that vision boards aren’t magic, they are tools used to inspire and motivate you. It’s like a wand is to a metaphysical practitioner. The practitioner dabbles in the metaphysical, but the wand serves as the tool that helps them put that metaphysical energy into action with direction, but is really only as useful as the practitioner makes it! Another important thing to know about vision boards is that there are no set rules to making one, all you have to do is personalize it to your own desires and aspirations.

The first step to creating your vision board is to reflect on your life and the areas of it that you are looking to improve. Some examples can include career, relationships, health, healing, and growth. Of course you are not limited to these options.

The next step is to find inspiration for your vision board. One of the easiest and most effective ways of doing this is to go online and look at websites like Pinterest. This can help you to get an idea of what other people have done for similar topics. This can be very motivating and exciting as you can see all of the amazing ideas people have come up with in the past.

Once you have an idea of what you want your vision board to look like, it's time to start gathering the materials. You can always look around your home for things to use like old magazines, printing things online, drawing, making things yourself, or you can go to your local craft stores and look for supplies there.

Now that you have all of the materials, it is time to play around with the layout of your vision board. It's a good idea to visualize how things will look on your vision board in case you decide to change something, but no one is going to stop you if you just want to wing it! At the end of the day, the goal is to create something that represents you, whether that is chaotic or calm.

Once you are done adding everything to your vision board, it's time to sit with it and really connect with it. In doing this, you are pushing the intentions you had set out in the beginning onto the board by imagining the life that you desire. Let your board inspire you to create the life that it represents.

When you are done sitting with your board it's time to display it somewhere where it can inspire you often. Every once in a while you should go back and sit with the board to continue to connect with it and reinforce the intentions. The board should be inspiring you to take action in paving the way for the life that you desire.

Of course over time we will change, grow, and develop as will our goals and desires, so it's good to occasionally add or change the board. In doing so, the board will constantly be up to date with the life that serves your best interest.

It’s also good to remember that you don’t have to make vision boards alone, you can make them with your friends and family too!
