Wands

Wands are sold in many metaphysical shops, but what are they? Wands have a base that is often made of some type of wood like oak, willow, or birch. On the ends there is usually some sort of crystal secured to it. This can give the wand a more specific use like prosperity, cleansing, or protection. Some wands will have copper or silver wrapped around it because they are excellent conductors of energy. Now that we have some understanding of what wands are physically, we can explore the purpose of wands and all of the wonderful things they can do metaphysically.

Wands are often seen as symbols of power and intention. In tarot, there is even the suit of wands. In this case, the wands would represent the element of fire which is associated with transformation, creativity, and passion.

If you were to buy a wand you could use it for many different things. It's common for wands to be used in rituals, healing, and energy work. They are good for these things because they are great at creating a sacred space, invoking divine energy, casting circles, directing energy, and activating and charging crystals. However, the true power of a wand comes from the wielder. This power is manifested by the wielders intentions, with the amplifying energies from the materials of the wand. This means there is an endless sea of opportunity when it comes to using one.

As mentioned above, wands can be used in many rituals and ceremonies, this can be anywhere from a wedding, initiation, to blessings. In a wedding, a wand could be used to purify the venue with blessings before the ceremony takes place. It could also be used during vows, the ring exchange, or as its own separate ritual. Using a wand in these situations would represent unity and shared power. In initiations wands can be used to represent the transfer of energy from one person to another, maybe representing new authority or simply to align each other's energies. It could also be used to invoke protection on the initiate. For blessings, a wand could be used to invoke light and positivity for the receiver. Wands can also be used in reiki because of how they can direct and give energy with ease.

Rituals and Ceremonies are not the only way wands can be used, they can be used for personal empowerment, helping your focus, and manifestation. While you can do all these things without a wand, they allow the wielder to tap into their own energy easier. This can allow someone to dive deep into the subconscious to find their true desires.

Similarly to using wands for reiki, they can be used for all sorts of energy work. In this case they could be used to clear blockages, balance chakras, and heal parts of the body. It can also be used to cleanse the aura which clears any negative energy that has attached itself to you. Overall this helps promote your well-being. If you would like to learn more about aura cleansing, you can view our article all about it here.
